Nominate a Red Cross Volunteer! 

Let us  know of a Red Cross Volunteer, a supporting business or partner that deserves recognition through the delievery or support of Red Cross Services   The catagories this year are as follows: 

Coach Pete Griffin Award:  This award is for a Red Cross Volunteer who exemplifies lifetime service and leadership, acts as a role model with devotion and commitment to service above self.

Volunteer of the Year Award:  This award is for an individual or group who demonstrates outstanding service as a representative of the American Red Cross, exemplifying the principles of the Red Cross movement: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.

Community Partner Award:  This award goes to that very special business that has consistently upheld the principles and supported the American Red Cross Capital Area Chapter significantly and for many years.

Donna O’Meara Chairman’s Award:  This award is given by the Chairman of the Board to a deserving Board Member, who demonstrates great dedication to the role of governance and leadership of our Red Cross Chapter, and provides significant support to the Chairman during their term of office.

Disaster Services Award: This award is for an individual or group who demonstrates outstanding service as a representative of the Disaster Services Program or Armed Forces Emergency Services Program, dedicated to the continual enhancement of service delivery, and participating in the provision of disaster-related services before, during and after disasters strike.

Red Cross Youth in Action Award:  This award is given to a young person between the ages of 12-25 who is actively involved in the services delivered on behalf of the American Red Cross. They demonstrate a personal commitment to building collaborative relationships and helping others in their community. They illustrate a desire to develop themselves as a leader of the future.

Tiffany Award:  This award is given to an employee or staff person in recognition of outstanding job performance.

The Frank & Charlene Doud Emergency Services Award: This award is given to an individual or group who has shown outstanding leadership and service as a representative of the Disaster Services, Services to Armed Forces and/or International Services programs. This individual or group has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the continual enhancement of service delivery and participation in the various leadership, planning, outreach activities on a daily basis in our Emergency Services programs.
