| Exercise - Mission With the mission of bringing neighborhood residents together to work through how neighbors should collectively help the neighborhood plan and prepare for, respond to, recover from and mitigate the effects of a HURRICANE, the following organizations have undertaken the coordination of this very unique disaster exercise. Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross
This four hour tabletop exercise provides neighborhood leaders and residents an opportunity to learn the importance of working together when disaster strikes. Participants will work within their neighborhood group as they undertake coordination of activities such as neighborhood planning and preparedness, threat assessment, needs assessment, debris removal and damage assessment. The Exercise - April 23, 2005 Neighborhoods participating in the exercise were asked to recruit a minimum of four residents who represented the entire neighborhood.
