Award Descriptions:
Coach Pete Griffin Award: This award is for a Red Cross Volunteer who exemplifies lifetime service and leadership, acts as a role model with devotion and commitment to service above self.
Volunteer of the Year Award: This award is for an individual or group who demonstrates outstanding service as a representative of the American Red Cross, exemplifying the princiles of the Red Cross movement: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and university.
Community Partner Award: This award goes to that very special partner that has consistently upheld the principles and supported the American Red Cross Capital Area Chapter significantly and for many years.
Donna O'Meara Chairman's Award: This award is given by the Chairman of the Board to a deserving Board Member, who demonstrates great dedication to the role of governance and leadershup of our Red Cross Chapter, and provides significant support to the Chairman during their term of office.
Disaster Services Award: This award is for an individual or group who demonstrates outstanding service as a representative of the Disaster Services Program, dedicated to the continual enhancement of service delivery, and participating in the provision of disaster-related services before, during, and after disasters strike.
Health and Safety Services Award: This award is for an individual or group who demonstrates outstanding service as a representative of the Health and Safety Services Program, exemplifying the organization's mission of providing emergency prevention and preparedness education to individuals, families, children, businesses, and special interest groups.
